Abstract

Mexico Senior Solutions Architect for Public Sector and Quantum Enthusiast – Amazon Web Services (AWS) Vanessa has more than 19 years of experience in customer facing technical roles, starting as a Service Management Specialist, and then developing a career as Cloud Solutions Architect, currently attending public sector accounts at AWS Mexico, where she recently received the “AWSome All Stars Award” for showing Leadership Principles such as Ownership and Earn Trust. She worked previously for the IBM Cloud unit, participating in the deployment of strategic initiatives with customers from Banking, Retail, Telco, among others. She received the “Best of IBM” award in 2016 for contributing to the success of her customers in Mobile Enterprise Strategy Projects. She participates actively with communities that promote the development of technical roles and the inclusion of more women in STEM disciplines, and she is currently part of the Communications and Marketing as well as the Communities Committees of the Women@Amazon LATAM initiative. Vanessa has two master degrees at ITESM, one Master in Business Administration (2013) and a Master in Computer Sciences (2009) and she graduated with honors from the Computer Systems Engineering program (2003). One of her focus areas in recent years is Quantum Computing, which led her to participate as a Quantum Ambassador and Enthusiast at both IBM and AWS.
